Ranchers--Colorado--Dolores Dolores (Colo.)--History ; About Narrator: Mrs. Stephenson, the granddaughter of German homesteaders near Dolores, was born at home near Dolores in 1933 and attended Fort Lewis when it was in its final years as a junior college at the old fort campus, then finished her college degree at the new campus in Durango. She taught elementary school 1958-1996, most of those years in school district RE-1 in Cortez, Colorado. She was married to Ray E.
